Carnation Day reminded me of a children's book called You Are Special by Max Lucado. I've read it to my girls a hundred times, and to my youth group kids, and the last time I spoke in chapel at our school. It's a brief must-read about the way we allow ourselves to be defined apart from our creator. The parallels are cool.
