Faaaascinating...

Follow this link and see whether you perceive the dancer as spinning clockwise or counterclockwise. Then see if she changes direction on you.

For me, she was all about the clockwise--until suddenly in a blink she flipped the other way, then back a few moments later. I've found that while if I concentrate I can get her to flip directions, it's only for a few moments. The exercise appears to have right brain/left brain implications, though who really knows.

Duuuude, she was so spinning clockwise. It really took some effort (blinking my eyes, turning the computer moniter at an angle) to get her to spin the other way.

I also noticed how chilly it was in there. hehe

first look she was spinning counter clockwise and it took the flashing ad under the image for me to be able to spin her the other way. now she spins clockwise.

I can't for the life of me make her turn counter-clockwise...she was turning clockwise the whole time.

You know those drawings where the box becomes inverted if you stare at it in the right way. Sometimes it looks like its going in, sometimes it looks like it popping out at you? I tried to do that with the dancer lady and yet her blasted arm kept swinging clockwise...

If we were to take the articles diagnosis of me, and consider what the left-brain functions were:

uses logic
words and language
present and past
can comprehend
reality based
practical,

apparently I am an impractical non-logical person who cannot comprehend the present or past and am not based within reality.

Meh. It is also 4:45 in the morning and I haven't slept yet...

OH! I got it...lol If you stare at her calf muscle long enough, you can make her where she doesn't rotate at all...she kind of leaves her back leg stationary and swings the other one just back and forth. Then you can make it switch either counter clockwise or clockwise upon whim...

Great fun, great fun. My eyes hurt.

I'm kind of dizzy. She has some kind of hypnotic spell on me. LOL
Thanks Zeke

Clockwise and no matter what I did I could not get her to turn the other way. If I take a few math course maybe she will flip around.

Adam I did she didn't stop
I have no left brain at all.

Ahnna showed me how to do it both ways yay!

I told the lady she was logical and stared at her base leg and sure enough she went counter clockwise
Then I said your creative and happy and she turned right back to clockwise
kinda weird.

Ahnna and I both think Zeke and dorsey are Neanderthals....
freaks

She was doing somersaults when I looked. What does that say about me?

(Never mind. I don't wanna know)

We saw this at work today. Everyone (even the boring accountants) saw her spinning clock-wise. I don't think it's a very good test of right vs left.

But she is hot...that's a no-brainer.

See what I did there... no-brainer. Get it?

Steve, you're on a roll today...

Every time I clicked on the site, she was spinning clockwise. I accidentally made her go counter clockwise once, and then I got stuck. It took a while for her to flip back to clockwise.

Sofyst is right, you have to concentrate on the thigh/knee region. And kind of "un-sync" your eyes with the motion of the knee for a second, and concentrate on making your eyes accept that it will glitch and then turn the other way. If you can do that, you're gold.

Also, will doing this exercise make me smarter, or dumber?

It'll make you smumber.

Allright folks, you heard it here first:

Smumber: the phenomenon of becoming simultaneously both smarter and dumber by filling up valuable space in your brain with internet memes.

Fifteen minutes of fame, you know where to find me.

Man that was a weird test. I am not sure what my results mean but when I first looked at it the chick was going clock-wise. Then I would read for a bit and the chick was going the other way - counter clockwise.

However, I did figure out the trick to moving the girl the way you wanted. I would move my screen down until I could only see her knees to her feet - and for some reason I could change the direction within seconds.

Strange.

I've been looking at this damn thing for over a week now and I can't make it spin at all.

I'm an engineer and she only spins clockwise for me. I think everyone who says counterclockwise is making it up to mess with me.
